PLD RideShare Program
Almost every Student who participates 4 years in Marching Band graduates from PLD saying the same thing, "Marching Band changed my life!" At PLD we want to ensure that every student who truly wants to be a part of the Paul Laurence Dunbar Marching Band has that opportunity. Some students who would like to join the band cannot do so because their parents cannot always be available to transport them to and from practices and competitions. That's where the PLD RideShare program comes in. The PLD RideShare Program is something new we will be trying out for the 2010 marching season. The concept is simple - to match up band members who have extra, available space in their cars and are willing to transport students who need rides to and from practices and competitions. To participate in the program simply send an e-mail message to PLD.RideShare@gmail.com. In the body of your e-mail message provide the following information:

      -Your Name:

      -Your Address:

      -Telephone number:

      -Neighborhood:

-Whether you need a ride or are Offering a ride:

-Section of the band (color guard, Tubas, Pit, etc.)

The RideShare coordinator will attempt to match those in need of rides with those having the capacity to provide the rides. All information received by the RideShare coordinator will be posted on this webpage. If you are a potential band member, but are hesitant to join the band because you do not have a ride, simply check the webpage for those offering rides to your neighborhood. It's that easy!
